Professor John Fairclough is a leading Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon, specializing in knees. He is also Professor of Sports Medicine at the University of Wales (UWIC), Chairman of the Medical Committee for the Wales Football Team, a Member of the Medical Committee of the Wales Rugby Union and a Former President of the British Sports Trauma Association. John has worked with numerous leading football teams and regularly treats elite athletes from a number of sports, including Colin Jackson (international hurdles sprinter) and Joe Calzaghe (WBO Super Middleweight title holder).

Chair of the USA Medical Advisory Team
Tom is currently Director of the Division of Sports Medicine in the Department of Family Medicine at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, USA. In addition to over 15 years as a Sport Medicine physician, he holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Best is internationally recognized for his research on muscle-tendon injury and healing and utilizes his experience and expertise in Bio mechanics to work closely with the other members of DEMASQ to develop and validate their software programs.

 

 

Mr Rhydian Morgan-Jones

Rhydian Morgan-Jones

Mr Rhidian Morgan-Jones FRCS(Tr & Orth) is a Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma surgeon at the University Hospital of Wales and Cardiff & Vale Orthopaedic Centre (CAVOC), Llandough. He is a dedicated Knee surgeon specialising in arthroscopy, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, knee replacement and revision of failed knee replacements..

 

 

Mr Mark Foster

Mark Foster

Mr Mark Forster is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon working at the University Hospital of Wales, Llandough and Spire hospitals in Cardiff, UK.

He is a specialist knee surgeon who treats the full spectrum of with knee disorders and performs over 500 knee operations per year. His clinical interests include ligament reconstruction, unicompartmental replacements, revision total knee replacement, patella disorders and adolescent/paediatric knee problems.

His training included knee fellowships in Nottingham and Derby (UK) & Adelaide (Australia). He is heavily involved in research, with over 40 papers in peer reviewed orthopaedics journals and over 50 national and international presentations.

He regularly reviews for The Knee journal.

 

 

Dr Kathleen Lyons

Dr Kathleen Lyons is the senior musculoskeletal radiologist in the University Hospital of Wales, a teaching hospital and one of the largest Trusts in the UK. She is a member of the British Society of Skeletal Radiology. She provides radiological support to the Wales Rugby Union, local rugby and football clubs, Olympic and Elite Cymru athletes, in the diagnosis and management of sport injuries.

 

 

Dr Sleem F’Guyer

Dr. Sleem F’Guyer is a board-certified pediatrician affiliated with several Chicago area hospitals. Educated at The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Dr. F’Guyer performed his pediatric residency at the University of Illinois Chicago, IL and has been acting as a research coordinator with a number of US medical centres.
